After his success at La Fundadora, Don Eduardo Taylor expanded his operation with a much larger finca, Callejón Seco.
Callejón Seco, a 70 hectares finca, starts from La Carterain Los Naranjos at an altitude of 1250m and continues into a well protected valley to an altitude of 1500m. Its name signifies “dry path” due its unusual dry micro climate for the region.
Callejón Seco has an industrial-grade processing chain allowing us to process thousands of pounds of coffee at a time.
The washed coffee is placed on drying racks under the sun. Our team turns the coffee several times a day to ensure a uniform drying process. These racks are retracted every night and during inclement weather to protect the coffee from the elements.
